Creative Exploration for Mindful Embodiment

So many of us feel rushed and disconnected from ourselves. In these creative groups, participants co-create a space of generosity and hospitality where we can move out of our heads and listen deeply to the wisdom of our bodies. Through joyful connection and creativity with the tools of play, story, dance and art, we nourish our bodies and spirits to find a more whole way of being.

These groups all follow a similar pattern:

  • We open with a time of stillness and grounding to allow us to settle and arrive

  • We engage with content such as mindfulness, story or play as an opening and warm up

  • We explore and respond. In this section you will use the engagement segment as fodder for your own spiritual and emotional journey, trusting that what stood out to you is important and grabbed your attention for a reason.

  • We then return together for a sharing time and closing ritual to allow the material to stay contained in the sacred space.

There are three basic types of groups:

If you are a spiritual care practitioner, spiritual director, chaplain, or pastoral care worker, you might also want to check out Improv for Spiritual Care. In these groups we practise the skills we use in the work together, in a playful and fun way. These groups are pay what you want, but I also sometimes team up with a supervisor to offer a more intentional space for professional development and these are accessible via a fee.
